Pobre Ana Moderna Project

In this project, I did research on Mexico and its geological features and found many places to visit in the country. Along with this slide show, I also labeled a map that helped me to understand where the different states are and the ones that were important to the book we were reading in my class called “Pobre Ana Moderna”. In the slide show, I have chosen 10 different sites in Mexico that I think would be enjoyable to visit and see, out of these ten, two are from the state of Nayarit which is where the main character in our book is traveling to.

In doing this project it has helped me to see and understand more of Mexico and its culture and to also visualize how big it’s states are compared to those in the United States. In the beginning, I did know that Mexico City was the capital, but with that, I didn’t quite grasp that it was the biggest city in Mexico. Two places from my slides that I think would be the best to visit would be El Manto in Nayarit, Mexico and Chichen Itza in Yucatan, Mexico. El Manto is a beautiful recreational center will hot springs and waterfalls, therefore I think that would definitely be something amazing to see. Chichen Itza is an archeological site with the remains of the past Mayan Civilization, being able to see such a grand historical site would be a great experience.
